Lead by JUMPS founder Doug Hogate Jr, the team consisted of investigators Maureen Crossman and Eileen Bramble. The team arrived at the home and met the client, her mother, and stepfather. The team began by asking the client’s mother if she has ever experienced anything unusual, but she stated that she has never felt anything odd and she had the home built so there were no past occupants. After a brief interview, the client’s parents left and she gave a tour of the activity in the home.
At 6:20 PM, the team began setting up the equipment. This was the first investigation where the team used a DVR system.
- Camera 1 – Placed in the weight room area of the basement to attempt to capture if the light turned on while no investigator was present.
- Later in the investigation, it was moved to the other half of the basement.
- Camera 2 – Placed in the living room.
- Camera 3 – Placed in the client’s bedroom to attempt to capture the many reports that have originated from this area.
- Camera 4 – Placed in the first floor bedroom
After cameras were in place and audio recorders were placed next to every camera, the team began the investigation at 7:10 PM.
The team of Doug, Maureen, and the client, began in the second floor bedroom. Immediately, the team began checking the EMF levels in the room to be sure high electromagnetic field exposure was not the cause of the unusual feelings in this room. After sweeping the entire room, no high EMF levels were discovered. Next, the team placed one K-2 meter next to the bed and one on the dresser located across the room. Doug began asking questions and requesting signs of a presence. Shortly after beginning the line of questioning, the client began telling whatever entity was messing with her that they are not welcome in her home. Becoming upset, Doug began demanding that whatever was there to cause one of the K2 meters to light to show that they were present in the room. Suddenly, the K2 on the dresser began to light. To assure that the K2 was not picking up something natural, Maureen instructed the entity to cause the other K2 next to the bed to light. Approximately 10 to 15 seconds later, that K2 began to light. Therefore, the team and the client began questioning the entity and the K2 meters each lit when requested.
After about an hour in the second floor bedroom, the team of Maureen, Eileen, and the client began investigating the first floor bedroom. After spending approximately 30 minutes in the area, nothing unusual occurred.
Next, the team of Doug and Eileen began investigating the basement. Starting in the weight room area, they began asking if there was anyone different or if was the same entity that was roaming the house, disturbing the client. After no significant responses, Doug began exploring the claim of the lights coming on while no one is in the house. Looking at the switch, it was discovered that the switch was very loose. It could be placed in the half way position which would cause, with little vibration, the switch to turn on the light. After determining this, they moved to the other side of the basement where the stereos were located that the client claimed were coming on by themselves. Right away, Doug placed the K2 on the coffee table located in the middle, and it began to light up. Doug checked for EMF fluctuations throughout the basement to see if the cause was due to something electrical in the area; however no high readings were recorded anywhere in the basement. Therefore, Doug placed the K2 back on the table and moved the camera from the weight room area to this area to view the K2 in case it sounded again. With Doug sitting in a chair and Eileen on a couch, each of them asked for some sort of sign or requested the K2 to light if someone was present. Approximately 5 seconds later, the K2 did light, but only the one time. Doug then got up to check the stereo located on top of the TV stand in hopes of finding the reason behind it coming on by itself. While investigating the stereo, the K2 began sounding again from the table. Eileen then asked if the entity liked that Doug was by the television and, again it lit. For about 2 minutes, the K2 consistently responded to every question asked. Then, it stopped completely. At this time, Doug & Eileen returned upstairs.
Next, the team of Maureen, Eileen, and the client returned to the second floor bedroom to attempt to get the same amount of activity as the first sweep. During their time there, the K2 did sound, however not as consistently. At that point, Eileen returned to the first floor to trade places with Doug. Prior to Doug arriving in the bedroom, the client mentioned to Maureen that she hoped it was not ‘demons’ that were causing these disturbances. Immediately, the K2 lit up, which frightened the client. However, once Doug arrived in the room, Maureen and he explained to the client that she was not dealing with any demonic entity whatsoever. After continuing with the questions and asking for signs, the activity ceased. At that point, the investigation came to a close and the team packed up the equipment and evidence.
The team was able to record some personal experiences and one audio recording from that night.
